Keswick's 23 bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU) (ALL PRIVATE ROOMS) is designed for those patients with medically complex care issues that require a higher level of care.

Some common care types would be:

  • Stroke Rehabilitation
  • Orthopedic Care
  • Pulmonary Care
  • Wound Care
  • Infusion Therapy
  • Trach Care

Patients entering our TCU are individuals requiring skilled care ordered by their physician, generally following a minimum three (3) day hospital stay. TCU services and amenities offered are:

  • Private room with powder room (ALL PRIVATE ROOMS)
  • Nursing Services (except private duty and specialized)
  • Services of full time Medical Director
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Social Worker dedicated to the unit
  • Therapeutic Recreation
  • Services of a full-time Pastoral Care Director, and religious services of various denominations
  • Companion Radio
  • Free local telephone service

The patient's insurance may cover all or partial amounts of this cost.
